VW L1 concept car, gets it's name because it uses 1 liter of gasoline per 100 km.
That is about 230 miles per US gallon.
It's very small and the passenger seat is behind the driver.
It can get going to around 75 mph.
It has 4 wheels and so has to meet US automobile standards for safety.

The prototype has come out and some are on the highways with delivery in about a year.
