I am an entertainer in the Southeastern New England Area
check this Roger Chartier Senior Entertainer
Country and Western entertainment.
Western or Country and Western music has changed a bit since "The Good Old Days",.or so I'm told by he oldest of residents. They do love the Hank Williams and Roy Roger and Dale Evans stuff as well as Willie Nelson And Patsy Cline.
Gene Autry was a favorite of the times as well as the Song sof the Pioneers. Do you want to have a good party then use some decorations and props as well as cowboy hats for the residents.
A western themed cake and maybe a six drawing contest between a few staff would be fun. Music and props and interactivity by the staff make the party.
Of course you invite all of the residents and maybe families as well.
So many old western songs a very well known so you can get a great sing-a-long going.
A nice touch is using western themed napkins and plates and or table cloths.
I like the party favors and props because they really give it a special touch.
This works well with residents who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, in dependant living facilities, who have dementia and Alzheimer's, as well as seniors who live at home. |
