Spam Arrest - Stop E-mail Clutter

SpamArrest has sort of a "test if you are a real person" type solution also known as a captcha page or another explanation is that it is a challenge and response spam filter. It works like this.

Somebody sends you an email, then the email server sends a quick response email back to the sender that asks that he or she click on a link to verify that they are a person and not a spambot or computer generated spam program. Then they type a coded word (captcha )which authorizes them to send that email unhindered by the SpamArrest software. So they are able to send even in the future as they are now on the whitelist.

If you don't like the sender you can block them after you see the email from them.

Choose a login and password.
You get new email yourname@spamarrest.com

You will forward your regular email to the new Spam Arrest email.
So you have to decide and pick which email address you want to protect from spam.
You'll have to put in your pop3 email information and your username and password for your mail account. SpamArrest can give you support in doing this.

You then set up your white list. That is a list of people allowed to send you e-mail. There are a few time saving ways to do this. There is an import tool and you can also define allowed emails by domain, mailing lists etc.
